Allied Over claiming- Capt. John J. Voll -31st FG November 16,1944
 

After following the ongoing saga of the dissection of Erich Hartmann's claims versus actual results, I thought about the claims by John J. Voll on November 16,1944. While flying alone he claimed 1 Ju-88, two Fw-190s and i Bf-109 to catapult him into the leading MTO USAAF ace. As far as I know, no one has been able to find corresponding Luftwaffe casualties to corroborate these claims. Did he or did he not falsify his ciams?
