What was a Schüttkästen ? I./KG 53 reported dropping 252 SC 50 and 36 Schüttkästen.

I thought so, but was unsure if it was incendiary or anti-personel bombs

name actually just defines the bomblet container but not the type of the bombs. incendiary seems most common though.

Wasn’t this the device that the British called the “breadbasket”? I’ve seen the occasional reference from the Blitz period, I think.
