Bf 109 on eBay. JFS ?

Any comments: French airplanes in background: Bréguet? LeO? If so, Winter 1940-1941, at least. Then, France or Germany? Regards, Franck. |

Bréguet 693 (could be also Br 691 ou 695). Some were used in Zestörer Schulen.

Thank you Von Alles,
You did put me back on the right track. If I strictly follow Michael Holm page (I have no update) it is indeed ZS 1; the two others didn't have Breguet 693s. Hence should be 3./ZS1 taken at Neubiberg... (providing the code number is yellow) Maybe one will have more details .. A Jumo-ed Bf109D-1 from expired auction ... Regards, Franck. |
Re: Bf 109 on eBay. JFS ?
Wonder if 2700 is a valid number for a Bf109/Bf109D model, if two birds are the sames the last letter seems to be V..., if DK+.N is correct could be the DK+CN/B-1 or DK+WN/D-1 but both connected to JFS 2 in 1941

Rémi,
The two birds aren't the same. It was just to show that another machine was known and pictured in ZS 1, wearing the same kind of marking, thus demonstrating that Von Alles was right suggesting what he said. As for “White 1” (the old auction) forget a second that WNr.2700 but DK+?N it is and a Bf109D it is as attested by the two following pictures, part of that old auction/batch. Note too our friend Pieter van Gogh gives DK+CN and DK+WN both as D-1s and the fact that they have been in JFS2 doesn’t mean one of them hasn’t been in ZS1, before, or after. Regards, Franck. |

As you know, common friend of PvG, these are only assumption, maybe clever ones at best, stone by stone the wall will be built .
