A monk?
 

You certainly noticed the "black" man to the right. The picture is a bit blurred but I feel he looks like a monk wearing his long religious garment. If he is a monk then his monastery is probably not far away (of course there were some other monasteries in the NL). Perhaps he came to the landing site in order to help the crew member(s) in the religious meaning, if necessary. Anyway a monastery in the vicinity could help to find the exact location.
