Bf110 wk.nr 3235 III/ZG76 Battle of Britain
Hi guys
Although 3235 served with III./ZG76 during the BoB as 2N+ER (I believe), it was transferred to Norway and became LN+ER and was shot down on 5 July 1941 (Weyergang was the pilot). The wreckage was discovered post-war, and was noted as having 11 kill markings on its fin, only one of which can be credited to Weyergang. Presumably, 10 belonged to its previous owner, a pilot of III/ZG76? Can anyone identify him? I believe the wreckage is now in Germany. Can anyone confirm? Cheers Stay safe Brian |

Re: Bf110 wk.nr 3235 III/ZG76 Battle of Britain
Brian,
In the BoB, III./ZG 76 carried the fourth character Staffel letters of 'M', 'N', and 'P', and the Gruppenstab letter of 'C'. They did not change anything from their previous unit code (II./ZG 1) of '2N', nor the Staffel/Gruppenstab letters. |
