I think it is the same aircraft in both shots Cheers Stig |
Re: Photo Hanriot Aircraft
Hi Stig,
Far from impossible I would imagine. Do you think you recognise some of the numerals in the photo where the machine is at an angle? Regards, Clint |
Re: Photo Hanriot Aircraft
Unfortunately not
Someone has put their "laserbeam" right where it hurts the most.... :) Cheers Stig |
Re: Photo Hanriot Aircraft
Oh well at least I've one Hanriot photo with serial more than previously.Having concluded I Reparti.. I'm currently working my way through the Schiffer book on Italian Fighter Aces which is proving useful in adding to my spread sheet.

Hello,
Currently on ebay are a number of photos of US Navy Hanriot HD.2 including several showing testing of a floatation bags. https://www.ebay.com/itm/40523946410...Nj-LBZA&edge=0 Regards, Clint |
Re: Photo Hanriot Aircraft
Some very interesting shots there Clint
The date 1 May 1919 indicates it was the first conversion made and since no US Navy BuNo is visible also indicate they were painted on the aircraft post conversion. The four blade prop is interesting as well. Not seen that before. Venturing a guess I would say that one was A5620 The photo dated 27 June 1919 looks like A5626 to me. What do you think? The aircraft equipped with flotation gear was A5629. But what is the aircraft which is not a Hanriot (photo date 13 Sep 1923)? Have I seen that before?? :) Cheers Stig |
