US Navy Bailout October 9, 1930
 
Can anyone please confirm details of the following

Lieut (jg) Harry Donald Hale on October 9, 1930

Curtis Hawk F6C-3 A-7140

Pensacola, Fla.

9am Leutenant Hale's plane went into a spin at 5,000 feet he continued trying to right the machine until it had fallen half
the distance to the earth. He then took to his parachute
The plane crashed to the north of of the field and was totally
wrecked

DoB 2 April 1904
DoD 30 May 1962

The type and serial number are confirmed. It was actually an inverted spin.
