Busy couple of day at Pensacola, Fla.!
Can anyone please confirm deatils below Lieut William Virginius Davis Jr October 10, 1930 Curtis Hawk F6C-3 A-7133 Pensacola, Fla. One of the country's flying celebrities made his first forced parachute jump in Pensacola yesterday morning when Lieut W V Davis, Naval Air Station went over the side to escape death as his pursuit ship went into an outside roll. Later Vice Admiral in the United States Navy (January 28, 1902 – July 25, 1981) Thanks Paul |

George - As always many thanks for confirming the details - I think maybe my next job is to get a list of all the 60/61 US Navy Caterpillars quoted at the time!
