production table help
Could someone help me better grasp the following. As I understand Zugang / Verbraucht / Bestand an Front-Torpedo, the columns mean How many were accessable / How many were used / How many were available at the front.
The problem I am having is that the table I am looking at (Table 5, p.37, from Die Lufttorpedo) seems to indicate that on certain months consumption exceeded the number accessable. Ie: 1941 Feb 1 / 6/ 83 Mar 6 / 52/ 37 Sep 40/ 49/ 138 Unfortunately I only have a copy of the table, not the entire book so I can not check the figures against reserves. However, if reserves were accessed I would assume that they would be included in the Zugang column, which, if my assumptions and poor translations skills are right, are not. TIA Adam |
Re: production table help
Hi.
The term Zugang does not indicate how many that were accessable or available, but rather how many new were delivered! So for example for February 1941, 1 new torpedo was delivered (during the month), 6 were used (during the month) and the total was 83 (probably at the months end). Regards, Andreas |
