Hi guys

One of the original Hurricane pilots to reach Malta in 1940, Jock Hilton-Barber has recently passed away in Zimbabwe. He gained three or four victories at Malta (see 'Hurricanes over Malta') and towards the end of the war flew PR Mosquitos with 540 Squadron, gaining a DFC.

Both of his brothers were fighter pilots, both gaining a DFC, one of whom was killed in action.

I had the privilege of meeting Jock many moons ago - a fine gentleman. RIP
