Leutnant Horst Berger - 15 August 1941

Hello all

Leutnant Horst Berger (26 victories, killed in action 8 May 1944) was injured in a take-off accident while training with Schule/Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 41 on 15 August 1941. Are any additional details of this incident known? Many thanks.

This looks like the incident you're looking for. I'd never associated this incident with the, later, JG 5 pilot. Nice catch.
