Identity of Well Known Do 217 Photo
Can anyone confirm one way or another? Some records say this ac coded +HN was 5./KG 6, 15./KG 6 or even I./KG 66. From what I can see (and Marcel van Heikop as well), these aircraft were initially coded 3E+AZ (I have also HZ, MZ and CZ). However markings are similar to those adopted by KG 100 so could it be something like E-5, Wk Nr 5631, 6N+HN lost 24 Jan 44?

Another wonderful picture Chris...seems a Do 217 book is arising (like that one about the Dornier Do 17)....Wonderful "gem" indeed....Take care and keep the wonderful work going on.

Hi Chris.
Did you ever get an answer to this. I finally subjected it to a barage of filters and it appears most likely to be 6N. Mike |
