Hauptmann Horst Boring - 20.01.1943 KIA
 

Good morning to all members.

Hauptmann Horst Boring crash landed at Zaporozhye on the 20 January 1943. I tried but got no joy in finding more about the He 177 codes, werknummer and crew disposition.

Does anyone can assist to find more about his dismise? Was he previously hit by Russian Flak? What the causes of the crash (poor weather)?

Thank you so much for the additional information I was looking for!

Sadly we do not know if the crash was due to enemy damage previously, to weather or malfunction on the machine (loss of one engine, CG dislocation during transport flight, etc).
