Did anyone claim to have shot down this He 111 ?
 

Hi everyone,

Did anyone claim to have shot down this He 111 P4 (VI+CQ Wr. Nr. 2969) on the night of 21-22 July 1941? It was on the return flight from Moscow when a fighter damaged it. Any help would be appreciated.

in the GQM loss return 5 Aug 1941 item 33 is listed:
21.7. I./KG 55 Feindflug, Ort: bei Ostrow, Ursache: Jägerbeschuss, He 111 P-4 2969 60%.
F Fw Sohn, Erich +
B Ofw Himmel, Otto verletzt
Bm Fw Dietz, Karl verletzt
Bs Ogefr Ronn, Anton verletzt.
Correction 21 Aug 1941: Fw Dietz verstorben.
Handwritten note: loss category 5 = Totalverlust ohne Feindbeobachtung durch Feindeinwirkung/Bordwaffenbeschuss auf Feindflug / destroyed by gunfire from enemy aircraft on operational flight, not observed by enemy.
