Jet encounters 30/31st October 1944

Hi,

A number of 3 Group crews reported the presence of German jet fighters on a raid against Cologne 30/31st October 1944.

Were German jet fighters operational at this time, if so what units would they have been.

Hi Steve,

There was no Luftwaffe jet Nachtjagd unit operational by this time, and when the Me262 became operational by night, it was mainly employed in the Berlin area. So no, there were no jets active during the 30-31.10.1944 Köln raid.
