German code names for jet and rocket aircraft

Gents,

I am trying to locate a document and/or citation for the code names the Germans assigned to jet and rocket aircraft (amongst others); e.g. Silber = Me 262.

Frustratingly, I know I had this information in the past, but for the life of me cannot locate it. Any help and guidance is therefore most appreciated.

Cheers,

David

Nick,

Many thanks for sharing this with me and fellow readers. I had seen a facsimile of this document but having a copy of the original is most help.

Thanks again!

David

That would place in about TNA HW 5/607, but as of yesterday - closed.

Thanks so much Jψrn. It is good to have the access to the original documents.

Still on the same subject, does anyone know what (or if there was) the code name for the He 162 was with respect to the criteria stated in Nick’s Ultra decrypt? Presumably it would be a metallic element. Thoughts?

Cheers,

David

All I can come up with from ULTRA are "8-162", "Spatz" and even "Me 162".

Hi Nick,

http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?t=28191

From your post #27 in the above thread, in April 1945 the code for ((234)) was ZASYR. Was there a code for ((262))?

Jim
