HALIFAX PLATE

Would anyone around be able to comment this small broken plate ? it was found somewhere in the North of France and we can guess "Halifax" on it;

Suggest it is a makers plate from a machine or item made by a company in Halifax (UK or Canada)

Halifax type would have been referenced as HP 57
