Hello!

Uffz Otto Backhaus died in his Do 18(?) on the 10 april 1940. Coming back from an enemy flight his plane crashed close by the island of Sylt.

Anybody knows more about this flight? Crew members?

Thanks uff 00! Only difference - I've got the accident at 1.30 on the 10th of april. Means a night landing on the water AFAIK, not that easy obviously...

Accident is given at 7h30, VP-Boot reach 'crime scene' at 13h00 to recover crew

I looked at the KTBs, no such a early date is given, maybe you are speaking of the time when plane sank ?, where hv you found it ? We are speaking of the Wn. 854 right ?
