Rick:
Here is what I have on 43-7007/SR 438.
Accepted USAAF 14 December 1943
Departed US 31 January 1944
To 8th AF 20 February 1044
Transferred to RAF 31 March 1944
Assigned to 129Sq 15 June 1944
First Combat Mission 18 June 1944 and coded DV-L
Lost 29 June 1944 with Deryck J F Rivett [132407] KIA at RR Junction N of Sees (Q.4236)/FRA

Rivett flew 7 Missions with 129Sq the first one being on 20 June 1944
SR 438 flew 6 combat Missions the first being on 18 June 1944

Hope that this helps a bit. Ted51

Re: Anybody have information on this P-51B serial number 43-7007

Thank you Ted51.-----
I was looking at 362nd FS P-51B's with 42-103007 G4-P codes and name "Swoose" in mind.
I was thinking 42-103007 might be a mix up and it was maybe 43-7007 but as you gentlemen stated my thoughts are wrong.
I thought 42-103007 is a P-51C and it was to early for a P-51C to be in service around March 1944.
Thanks again for fast reply's.
Thanks Revi16 for the RAF link.
Rick

Re: Anybody have information on this P-51B serial number 43-7007

Rick:
42-103007 was transferred from the 362nd shortly after 20 May 1944 to the 555FTS/496FTG as C7-X and lost in a mid-air collision on 7 June 1944 with the same organization. First recorded combat use was on 24 February 1944 when the aircraft returned early as an escort. Ted51
