Hallo Chris.

I bid on that photo you got...nice photo by the way. No clues about the Squadron Geschwader codes on the fuselage of the machine? I guess no...by memory of the image.

For me this officer "looks like" to either:

Hauptmann Helmut Waldecker (I/KG 6) or

Hauptmann Friedrich Harries (7./KG 76)

But maybe other members can match 100% this man. Nice photo by the way and congratulations you got it!

Doesn't look like Korthals in any of my photos and Waldecker was awarded his RK after capture (and his parting is on the other side of the head in my photos of him!). Not convinced it is Harries and definitely not Trautloft

IMO it bears more than a passing resemblance to Heinz Strüning.
