There was a Do 217 from that unit lost that day with 2 crew missing but no mention of this chap

I have note of a Do 217 of 1(F)Nacht lost on the 8th with Ltn Erhard Fischer and Bf Fw Kurt Cioska missing. The TRACESOFWAR site has Niederbacher as a 'B' MIA the same night it gives his dob as 20-4-20 and award of DKiG 20-4-1943

Maybe one for Matti to comment on. Can confirm DKiG, name and B but no mention of him on VDK or NVM

Cannot confirm or deny his presence, but his name in not on the NVM with the other two. However, it is possible that this NVM is partially damaged (burnt), I cannot remember.
