Unknown British Aircraft part for ID

Hey guys...

I have had this for a few years. Came out of a dig at Freeman field where the team pulled up a lot of Spitfire and Typhoon engine parts.

One side says "INLET"...other says "OUTLET"...

Thoughts or ideas?
