september 1944 recovery

Hello.
Our foundation ARGA recovered a Fw 190 at Groessen, SW of Arnhem.
The pilot jumped to safety (FSA). We recovered the engine, pilot seat, cocpit parts and a very strange emblem. Has anyone ever seen this emblem? This particular Fw 190 was also fitted with the wurfgranate 21!
WE have never seen such an emblem!
With kind regards
Karl Lusink

Do you have any idea which part of the airframe it is, wing, fuselage, etc.?

It must be a service marking but don´t remember now any one with the "D/N" ( or D/N?)inscription. Colors looks very well preserved.

Very Cool. Thanks for Sharing. Any usable bits as is, or for pattern? I know Mr. Timken of the White 1 Foundation, and am always on the look out for anything that may assist the restoration to flight of his Fw-190F-8. Sometimes even the smallest little piece or part can be of use. Just a curious inquiry. Checkout their website. Thanks much. I enjoy the forum.

This may me a part of the gun cowling , with the yellow ring , mentionning a power boost system . Many Fw 190A-8/R2 or R8 built by Fieseler had this stencil . Do you have further information concerning the Werknummer of this maircraft recovered ? It could confirms this

All the best

Thanks ERic.
THis Fw 190 is an A8/R6 type. With MG151/131 and Wurfgranate 21 switchboard in the cockpit. We did not find a Werknummer!
There are pictures of the recovery on our site: www.arga-nl.nl
