Ju88 of III./KG30 shot down by FW190 of JG5
Hi guys
Seeking the identity of the JG5 pilot who erroneously shot down Ju88 of III./KG30 off Trondheim on 5 April 1942. Many thanks, stay safe Brian |
Re: Ju88 of III./KG30 shot down by FW190 of JG5
Hi guys
Having noted that Oblt Huppertz of 9./JG5 accounted for a PRU Mosquito on 2/4/42, followed by two PRU Spitfires on 9/4/42 and 10/5/42 (all confirmed), while Oblt Segatz of 8./JG5 accounted for a PRU Spitfire on 3/4/42 (confirmed), all in the Trondheim area, it would seem that both Staffelkapitane were keen to intercept the RAF intruders, and probable that the 8./KG30 Ju88 fell to one of these. Any ideas? Stay safe Brian |

However, I believe such facts must have been recorded - somewhere! Stay safe Brian (PS nice to hear from you once again) |
