I read it...it is interesting in some aspects, but lack Log Book entries. Since it was a new subject I had never read previously about, I found it rather good reading. There are training details and political aspects (burden or weight may be the correct word) over the shoulders of the Russian airmen that flew there, etc. I rate it a good 3,5-4 stars (5 being maximum). It would be fantastic if the Ace's Logbooks had survived and were fully used onto the biography. which is not the case....and very very few photographs of the time (Korea war)....

I guess the book was firstly published in the UK and is now offered into the USA....I got the same problem with "Bob" Braham's memories....bought the new tittle (published in the USA later) believing it was a new book....but it is the same (100%) as the previously published (Scramble) with another tittle in the UK....

This is a paperback reissue of the 2011 hardcover. Pen and Sword are releasing a number of older hardbacks in paperback form.
However I will say that you can often find a good condition used hardback for cheaper than the paperback reprint.
