Where there any combat losses in WW2 over South Korea?

Like the title states, I am trying to find records of WW2 losses over the ROK. Any info would be appreciated, if there is anything on that topic out there.

If any, then late in the Pacific War.
On 7 Aug 1945 B-25J 44-31048 was lost on a "shipping sweep" off the coast of E. Korea and B-24M 44-42131 on a radar recce mission.
For latter see http://dokdo-research.com/kimdukhyung.html

Also see https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/199881 with another B-25 loss, on 6 Aug 1945, Pusan harbor.

On 13/8/45, the 507th FG (P-47N) undertook a fighter sweep over Seoul. They encountered more than 50 enemy a/c.

507th FG claimed 20 destroyed, two probables and one on the ground. One P-47 was lost (pilot survived). The most successful pilot was Lt Oscar Perdomo, 464th FS.

Thanks Leendert, might try to visit the B-24 site this coming summer. Could find nothing on the first B-25 you mentioned. Danny

Danny,

Loss of B-25 44-31048 is covered in MACR 16303: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/91173893

There were also some more USN (PB4Y) losses in Korean waters next to the two mentioned in the link in # 2.
Please go to https://www.aviationarchaeology.com/src/USN/PB4Y.htm

Seems that 507th FG actually engaged Ki-84s on 13/8/45. The Japanese lost 11, from 22nd and 85th Air Regiments.

The problem with any losses in the Seoul area, they are very likely to under what is today Seoul and thus not locatable. Danny
