Re: Luftwaffe losses on these dates ?
From old posts on this Forum-
31/3/41 Ju88C4"R4+HM" of I/NJG 2 Gefr. Otto Kruger; Gefr. August Kronewitter; Gefr. Heinrich Kellner 15/5/41 Ju88A5 - "B3+HH of 1/KG54 Eric Kutzner; Oblt. Arno Fischer; Gefr. Herbert Dapp; Uff. Siegfried Roesner. 30/5/44 Ju88A4 - 5/KG 6 Kurt Niemeyer; Ufz. Arno Mai; Ufz. Josef Bensch; Ufz. Eric Schwarz. The body of Eric Schwartz was found in the sea some 12 miles South of the Isle of White on the 14/7/44. However the crew of a 151Sqn Mosquito NF.XIII, MM479, F/O. B, Kneath with W/O. G,D, Kersey, claimed a He111 into the sea some 10 miles South of Falmouth So this may show three of the four that I seek ? Only (perhaps) one more for the 31/3/41. Alex . |
Re: Luftwaffe losses on these dates ?
NJG 2 did not operate over western England. Falmouth to Isle of Wight is quite some distance for 30 May 44 loss. If not replied by others I will reply in full when back in UK next week
