Erkennungsmarke

Hi,

60015/12
60015/14
60015/23
60015/32
Thank you all for any information.

Thank you very much Matti for the quick reply.
I thought 60015/1 would be StaKa Oblt.Losigkeit, but your answer is always 100% certainty.
Thank you very much again!

Re: Erkennungsmarke

Just for curiosity, since I am totally ignorant (0 knowledge about this). How does work the logic for this Erkennungsmarke?

The very first Officer (Staffelkapitän on this case) was the XXXX/1? And then the next airmen transfered onto this unit received, according to rank and date of arrival, their subsequent numbers? Eg: XXXX/2, XXXX/3, etc.?

OR, always the Staffelkapitän was the XXX/1, no matter of changes?

On this particular case (2 Staffel of JG 26)....if the unit received airmen up to the end of the war (May 45), the number would rise to something like 60015/443 for example?

And how can one find the correct code for those MARKES according to the Staffel or Geschwader? Is there a list for that?

For instance was up to the end of the war 60015 the code for the 2nd Staffel of JG 26?

Am sorry for so many questions, but this is the first time I saw such subject being raised and since I do have ZERO knowledge about this, I would like to learn a bit about.

Adriano

OBS: Do you can suggest me further reading to learn about this?
