Hello!
Henderson Field was opened on 08/20/42.
PSP was not available before the end of the year.
The situation was so bad that only P-400s were allowed to take off on alert when it rained.
However, photographs show that some kind of makeshift "PSP" was used, I assume drawn from local ressources.
Does anyone know what it was made of?
