Sounds very promising given the author's background!

Only 80 pages??
Somehow, I don't think it's filled with new, freshly discovered material found in Japanese unpublished and published sources. It seems to be part of a softcover series that is similar to the Osprey titles. A good, brief overview for those interested in the subject but not yet ready to get into the details. L. |

And how do you know it? Do you speak Japanese? Comparing that book to Ospreys based on the page count is misleading since based on Helion's other books in similar format there is 2-3 times text per page compared to Ospreys.
Edit: A recent Campaign-series Osprey has a text density of roughly 3300 characters/page (assuming a text-only page). The "PB Success" (a volume in the Helion Latin America at War -series) has over 8000 characters/page. That's some 250 % more. In practice, the difference is even greater as Osprey has greater percentage of pages only for illustrations (some of which are no more than pretty eye-candy). |
