Erwin Aichele??

At the moment there is a photo for sale of a grave of a German airman.
It is believed that the grave was in the Netherlands.
Anyone an idea if that is the case or has more information about the airman?

Hello Mathieu,

There is a Erwin Aichele - Hauptmann - born on 03.07.1901 in Friedrichshafen and died on 29.07.1940 in Wissant. Buried Bourdon, Block 11, Reihe 8, Grab 286. He flew with Stab I./JG 51 - shot down in combat, Me 109E-4 (see Prien, 4/II, page 39).

Is this the pilot..?

Forgive me for butting in , but yes it is the grave of Erwin Aichele.
Can anybody provide details of unit code or W.Nr, also what was his position within the Gruppe Stab ?
