Reading the Journal de Marche identified by a senior forumite...

looks like this pilot attacked a Bf109 but his P-47 was damaged in some way and he could not follow the Bf109.

The JDM indicates three victories that day "le groupe rencontra des avion ennemis et report trois victoires". One was the He111 shot down by Gouachon, Ducru, Gauthier and Bernard, another was a Bf109 credited to Cne Montravel so what was the third?

Does anyone know which LW units were involved?

According to a list "Tableau des victoires du GC 2/5" (SHAA archives)

on 18/6/1944 He 111 by four pilots you wrote

one Me109 probable by Cne Montravel

one Me109 probable by Cne de L'Espinay
