Information concerning the loss of Uffz. Vitus Alt - Nightfighter killed 14.06.41
 

Hi,

Can anyone provide information on the loss of Uffz. Vitus Alt who was killed on the 14th June 1941?

Looking at the Fold 3 Killed in Action site he was with 4./NJG 2 and was killed over the North Sean on a mission to England?

Any help would be appreciated.

Ju-88C-2, Wnr. 0785, R4+IM, 4./NJG 2.
Uffz. Vitus Alt, bf. Uffz. Hans-Georg Suckow, bs Uffz. Erwin Korn all three missing.

Ju-88C hit water when circling over a ditched He-111 (8./KG 4) some 75 kms. NW of Schouwen Island.

That night, three Ju 88C of the 4. Staffel failed to return (R4+AM, DM & IM) (Nachtjagd Combat Archive The Early Years).
