Loss of Beaufighter TF Mk. X "E" LZ287 on IKARIA - February 9th, 1944
Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk. X LZ287 “E” was shot down by four Bf 109G-6 of 7. + 9./JG 27 on February 9th, 1944 over the eastern Aegean sea. This aircraft crashed on the island of Ikaria, probably close to the village of Kampos (Cambos). Both crew members were KIA.
