What happened to him? Karl Walz der am 1.Juli 1943 ( Thusday ) im Luftkampf mit Englischen Jagdfliegern über dem Kanal gefallen ist.

Fw 190 A-5, 410198, Black 5 of 2./JG 1. Shot down off Hook of Holland by P-47s so either 83rd FS or possibly Typhoons of 3 Sqn

Flugzeugführer Uffz Walz, Karl, +
Absturz nach Luftkampf mit P-47. Bruch 100 %. Uffz Walz tot angeschwemmt.

JFV 10/II, NVM 10 Sep 1943 No. 1:
on 11 July 1943 the body of Uffz Walz was recovered and identified in the harbour of Ymuiden.
