Dieppe Saint Aubin airfield
 

Hello,

I'm doing research on aeronautics around Dieppe in France.

I'm looking for documents and/or information concerning the period when the Luftwaffe occupied the area.
In this context I am also looking for the following airfields:
- Brachy,
- Bray, Gouchaupré, Intraville or Envermeu,
- Bertreville,
- and Derchigny.

I think these airfields were mainly used during the Battle of Britain and some just as emergency airfields.

Good evening Chris,

I'm familiar with this collection of German airfields in France.

According to my research, Quiberville airfield wasn't an airfield. It was an anti-aircraft firing school.
However, I don't know how the Germans trained? Did they have planes firing at targets? If so, what model and where was it based?

Bertreville airfield isn't mentioned. I have French documents and a German document which attests that there was an airfield there, but I don't know if it was used.

The fictitious Bois Robert airfield was a private airfield belonging to the Legendre family before the war.

They did fire Flak at aircraft targets and for this the Luftwaffe had Fliegerzielgeschwader with a whole range of obsolete and captured aircraft types. You can find a few examples of flights over France by Fl.ZG 2 at the beginning of this article: http://www.ghostbombers.com/Bongart/intro_01.html

BERTREVILLE was called AUPPEGARD by the Allies and was listed as a "Former Landing Ground" that was not used by the Luftwaffe 1940-44.

I fully agree with you about the use of the land and its name.
The airfield was located between the communes of Auppegard and Bertreville.

Possibly, François, possibly.
It's at the British National Archives in London, but I do not know the file number with certainty but it might be AIR 40.
