Luftwaffe glider 18/09/1941

Hi !
On 18/09/1941 P/O. C.F.Babbage of 41 Squadron (flying a Spitfire) claimed an unidentified aircraft near Ostend (Belgium).
Was this the glider towed by a Junker W34 (which was shot down by other pilots of 41 Squadron) ?
Who has more details about this glider ?
Was Feldwebel Josef Andreaus the pilot ?

Many thanks and best regards

Luc

Hi guys

According to what information I have, 41 Squadron pilots (Bush and Buchanan) claimed a 'Hs126' during this sortie. The Go145 was a two-seater biplane trainer, so possibly this was their victim. Therefore, did Babbage shoot down the W.34? Who were the crew members killed?

It seems that Babbage also claimed a FW190 and Palmer a Bf109 (plus a probable) during the same sortie.

Cheers
Brian

Thanks Remi

There's still confusion as to whom claimed what! I wonder if anyone has answers?

Cheers
Brian
