Hello,how can help me with info about a british fighter with serial nr.P-4924This plane crashed (10-02-1940)on Hummelo-Holland. The pilot jump out his plane withhis shut and disappeared. the rest unknow..............who help ??Michel

Is that DD/MM/YYYY?

If so, it shouldn't be to hard to find a record, The Netherlands were still neutral.

Did you check the usual references?

Illusies en Incidenten (up to May 1940)
Nooit was het still Vol. 1 (after May 1940)

I could check those sources if no one gives an answer beforehand.

P4924 was a Bristol Blenhein of 107 Sqn , that was written off after a belly landing at RAf Lossiemouth in Scotland after a bombing mission to Stavanger / Sola on 17th April 1940.

So this does not match your serial number which must be wrong. R4924 was a Tiger Moth.

Type : Whitley V P4964
Unit : 78 Sqdn.
Pilot : P/O. N.H.Andrew

For the date read yy-mm-dd.

lokal archive about this plane (only serialnr. and crashplace).
