The fighters in the Med were not under Fighter Command; the bombers were not under Bomber Command; logically the anti-shipping units were not under Coastal Command. They will have operated under the control of Middle Eastern Air Force, or whatever the appropriate name was at different stages of the war.

In 1944-45 this would have been Mediterranean Allied Coastal Air Force (MACAF) which included some night- and day-fighters alongside the maritime aircraft.
