I have the Flypast article from 1984.

He had flown previously with 609 Sqn

Francois. See p. 462 here, from Chris Shores "Aces High" book; he was born in Harrow, Middlesex and previously in the RASC.
I don't know how much was in your article though.

The Flypast article of September 1984 relates the mission of the rocket attack on the Dieppe (Caude Cote) radar installation.
