POW flier's unit and loss?

Hi,

I have purchased a German POW postcard home from a Feldwebel Christian Hansen who wrote the card on 6th July 1943.

His service number was 51158 - possibly POW number?

He is not wearing any medals but has the flier's tunic on and is in a group photo with flier's with EK I's and Flight badges etc.

I have searched this database to see if his name comes up but to no avail.

Can anyone provide details on his loss?

Thank you

Rick

Christian Hansen was 2./JG 53 POW 16 Aug 40. I have photos of him before capture and as a POW. If the photo shows him standing 4th from left, this photo is in my book Brothers in Arms

Hi Chris,

I have your book 'Brothers in Arms' so will have a look but in my photo he is at the end of the standing row. I also have another photo of him standing with 3 peers in a doorway in the POW camp.

I have several of your books and enjoyed each one especially the hit and run and FW 200 books. I look forward to anything you produce on unit books.

Many thanks

Rick

Rick, if you can, please post the images. I'm assuming the POW camp is in Canada?
