Possible Luftwaffe Badge
 

Just took a risk on a badge I saw on eBay. Looks wartime with the corkscrew pin and silver backed enamel. Black eagle to the left with silver eyes, red sky, silver beach and blue sea. Looks similar to NAG 13-anyone have any thoughts-I would post a picture if 12 OCH allowed it!

The badge you're describing wasn't issued by the Luftwaffe. It may have been privately made or made at the squadron level, but they are rare.

FYI - The majority of enameled Luftwaffe pins seen aren't original.

Thanks for this. I am aware that there are many fakes/post-war copies/association badges but the quality tends to be not as good in respect of the enamel and silver construction and attention to detail

Chris, I agree with Revi, although I would need to confirm via photos. Or you can post some images on one of the forums that still has this capability.

I did not buy it so do not have the ebay link any longer. Vince has seen a photo of it and he agrees it looks Kosher
