RAF Wellington code U/B attack 18 June 1941

1. Seeking 221 Squadron Wellington VIII serial and code confirmation of U/B attack in Western Approaches on 18 June 1941.
2. ORB 221 SQ has T5623 (sic) (I presume W5623), so if RAF 15 Group CC (Weekly) Intelligence report survives,
this might have his, or attack report of course. A/c later in Iceland.
3. Also seeking codes for W5661 and Z8702 summer/autum 1941.

Regards
Ed

Maybe it was W5623, and recorded in the ORB as T5623, "T" being the aircraft in Squadron Letter ?

I know of incident to W5661 (want code) and loss of Z8702 (not in Iceland, this is after unit left, not relevant my query)

Checked that, T was other a/c before/after (May/June). "No. 221 codes were rather stable, only just a few changes. But I want just these three of all 24 here.
Codes A, (E2) and V & W vacant too choose from.

Coastal Command Intelligence Summary sometimes has aircraft individual codes. A copy of this is at the AHB so you might like to ask them

Ed,

The 'T' is just a typo, the real T5623 was a Tiger Moth.
Based on some experience with 1940 16 and 18 Group Appendices and the Appendices for some of the major bases within those Groups I would suggest these document types are your best bet to obtain the individual aircraft letters. They are not online yet, but you could try ordering them via a researcher who would copy them for a fee or better still if you know someone who has a copy. I don't unfortunately.
The 221 Sqn. F.541 does not have much individual detail, but matching the times might give the best result.

Thanks. Already pointed at CC Weekly or other Intel reports (often in Appendages) at start of this thread. AIR 15 or AIR 24.
Please read. AIR 27 ORB F.540/541 are dotted with omissions and errors. Sorry clerks.
But travel to TNA or purchasing paid services is not an option.
I was vaguely hoping some had this already.

But I leave this then.
