P38 4267879 of the 55th FG lost on the 2nd May 1944 over Essex.

Does anybody have any information on the loss of P38 4267879 of the 55th Fighter Group lost on the 2nd May 1944 over Essex.

The only loss of 55FG mentioned in "Double Nickel-Double Trouble" for May 2nd, 1944 is the 0-748725 with Victor T.McConnell of 343rd FS as a non-combat fatality.
