324 Wing claim, 24 July 1944
 

To save me downloading four or five sets of Squadron ORB's, can anyone tell the pilot(s) and Squadron claiming an Fw 190 0ff Nice on 24 July 1944, please?

Bobby Bunting, 93 Sqn, claimed south off Nice on the 27/7/44. Same type (Fw 190) but obviously a few days later.

Are you sure of the date?

Buntings claim was on 24 July 44.

For more details you can find Bunting's sortie report on page 42 of the Appendix to the 93 Sqn. ORB AIR 27/753/1. The time of the combat is given there as 20:27. He was flying MA583, as noted above, which was coded 'HN-C'.
