Re: Seeking details of Lt.Everett W,Thies.

Alex, some confusion here. ????

Fold3 has 42-67128, MACR 9254 as an F-5 lost on Oct 6, 1944 with pilot Claude C Murray, O-758042. (4 page MACR)

https://www.fold3.com/image/28725228/28725220

Same MACR in the archives: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/91068195?objectPage=2

Thies was co-pilot on 44-29580, MACR 13500 (14 page MACR) a B-25 lost on 21 March 1945.

https://www.fold3.com/image/41951274/41950910

The National Archives has this as a 17 page MACR (2 MACRs combined) with the Thies MACR starting on page 4:

https://catalog.archives.gov/id/91142889?objectPage=4

Thies Grave: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/...verett-w-thies

Just to add to the confusion here is a photo of Everett A Thies (Not Everett W Thies) in front of his photo recon plane called Dot-Dash.

Re: Seeking details of Lt.Everett W,Thies.

Thank you Rolland,
No confusion at all.
I did see an Everett A Thies but could not find his name in the NARA names list.
So two different airmen.
Everett A flew "Dot & Dash" to Poltava during Frantic.
Then at a later date Murray went down in "Dot & Dash" and evaded.
In the Far East Everett W Thies was lost in the B-25, MACR 13500.
Thanks
Alex

Re: Seeking details of Lt.Everett W,Thies.

THIES, Everett A
Enlistment date - 22/01/1942 - Miniesota - number 17062609.
What was his later Officer's number ?

THIES, Everett W
Cannot find Enlistment details.
But as Lt. Service Number was O-822848( one source has maybe a typo O-722848 ?).
