Very interesting review, indeed. It appears that this series of books is a must for me. I need to start saving some (extra amount of) money.
P.S. I am delighted and honoured that the reviewer considered my two-volume book, 'From Barbarossa to Odessa', as reference. |

Many thanks for your kind note. My next book will be about Hungarian bombers.

Re: July of 1941: Chronology of the Soviet Aircraft Industry during the Great Patriotic War
Hello,
I bought both books available in English. June is 499 page and July is 335 pages, This is really outstanding work by the authors Ferrer-Martínez and Fraile-Nuez to translate and self-publishing them! Unfortunately, there are no index in them making it very difficult to use them for research after having read them the first time. They are day-to-day accounts with chapters: • Aeronautical industry (mostly official documents between ministry and industry concerning production modifications, testing etc – very interesting but a lot of information!) • Other defence industries • Army (combat (mostly bombers), movements etc) • Life and domestic politics • Foreign policy (i.e. what’s happening in the world). Marvelous work and not really comparable with other books on the subject. In Spanish the authors seem to have covered the whole war (a mammoth work) and lets hope that they have the stamina to translate everything to English! I will at least buy them all! Best regards/Hĺkan |
