looking for info about FW Willi Petersen
 

Hello,
I have a feldpost letter from a FW Willi Petersen, the letter is from 19.05.1943, feldpost number L.55917 c Lgp Paris, to his parents in Kiel

he writes that his next flight is to England,

Feldpost number 55917(10.1.1943-26.9.1943)I. Gruppe Schnellkampf-Geschwader 10

There is a photo of a funeral could it be his funeral ?
Can anyone help to know more about him?

Don't have him being lost with I./SKG 10 but have a Nils Peterson killed in October 1943?

It is him-his Christian name was Nils-Wilhelm-I guess he signed himself Willi

From Grabersuche site : - Fw Nils Petersen born 5-10-1911 at Nordhusen died 4-10-1943 By Nantes buried Pornichet .

From GQM dated 7-10-1943 page 2 :- Fw Nis Petersen flying Fw190 A5 wn 1723 of I/SKG 10 100% hit by own flak over St .Nazaire and killed in crash.
One other Fw 190 damaged by own flak 20% pilot safe , both shown as FiendFlug.
