Hi,

looking for all Informations about the Loss (accident) of Gefreiter Hans Werner am Zehnhoff.
He was Pilot of the 1. Staffel Fliegerüberführungsgeschwader 1
"Ergänzungsgruppe"
am Zehnhoff died on 3rd. June 1944 in a flight accident due to several burns.

Ancestry says, loss place was Hannover.
Zehnhoff died in hospital as a result of third-degree burns, so the accident could have happened one or more days before.

Thanks for reply.... Problem is, we`ve no Indications for the Loss in the "Hannover Area" for this day or just before. Could be, that he lost his life further away and died later at the Hospital in Hannover.

Maybe Matti can help in this case....

Gefr. am Zehnhoff crashed this day with Bf 109 G-12 16207 in Hannover.
Cause of crash not given.

His death registration card gives his place of death as Reserve Lazarett IV, Hannover. The cause was "aircraft crash, burns (3rd degree)".

ErgGr./FlÜG 1 was located at Hannover-Vahrenwalde.
With these severe burns, he certainly wasn't transported far.
So the unit was at Hannover, the loss at or near Hannover, that fits together for me.

Today, with the Help from Matti, I can confirm, that the crashsite was on the Airfield in Vahrenheide / Vahrenwald.
