Story about Tinian Airfield.

Re: Story about Tinian Airfield.
Thanks Rolland. That's a massive project.
This is a 313BW photo mosaic, North Field at top (313rd Wing) and West Field below (58th) the hundreds of dispersals are visible. Saipan is 3 miles across the Channel in the 2020 colour photo. The 58th didn't transfer to Tinian from India until March-April, in 2 stages stopping in China ( 150 B-29s). A minor point, the March 1945 photo by Rolland (looking SE) was before the 4th runway was built --to the right and finished in May. From L-R ie. north-south they were identified as "A", "B", "C" and "D" allocated to the 505th, 504th, 9th and 6th BGs in that order.
